How to layer an evening routine
Cleanse, treat, seal. The order that makes each step work, and how to keep it to a few calm minutes.

The evening is when skincare has the most room to work: no make-up, no sunscreen, hours of undisturbed time.
The rule: thinnest to thickest
Apply watery textures first and the richest one last. A light serum sinks in on clean skin; a cream or overnight mask on top helps hold everything in place. Reverse the order and the thin layer has a harder time reaching the skin.
Step 1 · Cleanse
Remove sunscreen, make-up and the day's oil with a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water. Hot water feels good in winter but tends to leave skin tighter.
Step 2 · Treat
This is where a serum goes. A few drops of a bakuchiol serum, or a pump of a hydrating hyaluronic serum. If you use both, apply the watery one first.
Step 3 · Seal
Finish with your richest layer: a night cream or an overnight cream-mask such as LUUV's Well-Aging Night Treatment. One or two pumps, pressed in gently.
Once or twice a week · Exfoliate
A peel mask or exfoliating toner can go on a separate evening. Don't stack several exfoliating products on the same night, and wear sunscreen the next morning.
Keep it calm
A good evening routine takes two or three minutes. Consistency matters more than the number of steps. If you want a starting point, the Nordic Night Ritual is exactly these three steps in two products.
